Mosque

Mosque or Masjid is a commissioned place where Muslims gather five times a day after hearing the Adhan (The call for Prayer) to pray (The ritual prostration) to the almighty Allah, is called Mosque / Masjid. Informal and open-air places of prayet are known as Musalla, while mosques used for communal prayer on Friday are known as Juma (Jame Mosque).




Mihrab - Mosque buildings typically contain an ornamental niche (Mihrab) set into the wall that indicates the direction of Mecca (Qiblah) where the imam (The person who leads the prayer) stand.


Minerate- Minerate is a tower like structure from which Adhan (Calls to prayer) are issued.




Minbar - The pulpit (Minbar) is a place in the inner front of the mosque from which the Friday (Jumah) sermon (Khutbah) is delivered. Mosques typically have segregated spaces for men and women.



The first Mosque on Earth - Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (Peace be upon him) has built the first Mosque with his son Prophet Hazrat Ismaeel (Peace be upon him) by the order of Allah Azzawajal which is known as the Kabah in the city of Mecca. The sanctuary (The Sacred Mosque) The Masjid Al Haram is seen by Muslims as the first Mosque that existed. As per a statement of the great Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon him) stated in Sahih Al Bukhari, The sanctuary of the Kabah was the first mosque on Earth, with the second mosque being Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, Palestine. Since as early as 638 AD the Sacred Mosque of Mecca has been expanded on several occasions to accommodate the increasing number of Muslims who either live in the area or make the annual pilgrimage known as Hajj to the city.



The Quba Mosque was the first Mosque built by the last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

 
 
Then the Prophet (Peace be upon him) built another Mosque known as Al Masjid Al Nawabi (The Prophet's Mosque) in Madina city.
